We booked a 5 night stay at the Wentworth Guest house in the Tree Tops room. The warm welcome we received as we entered was a taste of things to come. Amelia showed us to our room and explained breakfast times and everything we needed to know about the Guest house. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you'd need. The location of the Wentworth is excellent as it's just across from the park and close to the beach and the coastal path. There was a large selection of options available for breakfast and it was served hot and tasty. Chris and Amelia were always available if needed and had a wealth of knowledge about the local area to ensure your holiday runs smoothly and were genuinely interested in how your day had gone and where you were planning to visit. The Wentworth Guest house was exceptional and whenever we are back in this area will be our first choice (if we are lucky enough that a room is available). Thank you for a great stay.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Amelia for accommodating us with our dogs at short notice for a short stay. Thank you Chris for the lovely welcome and service offered during our stay and for recommending a great place to eat with our dogs. Rooms offered those special treats of biscuits and tea/coffee along with treats for our furry friends. Beds extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast - thank you again Chris and Amelia x

Lovely couple who were genuingly helpful and a pleasure to have met. The room was small but had all the required ensuite facilities and creature comforts, and all hours frontdoor key access. Great value for money. Short walk proximity to Paignton harbour for evening meals out. Parking at front door two spaces or roadside. Awesome full breakfast. Would definitley stay again.

This area of UK is amazing and with lots of tourists so many venues just cash in for the room with few or none extra facilities.In this family business hotel you can see a keen attention to details with lots of goodies waiting for you in the room, amazing English Breakfast (included in the price WOW!) nice people.It says in the description that the check in starts at 4PM but I arrived 2PM and my room was ready, already waiting for me.The room was a single with a garden view, not large by the european standards but usual size by UK standards,the hotel itself is close to the beach and jus across a nice park.Myself I walked from the train station via a hidden path sided with the railway and I appreciate the authenticity of this place and all THE SILENCE.I traveled for work but they made me feel as a tourist and that is VERY RARE in hotels industry.Thank you very much and looking forwars to see you again some time soon.

This is our 2nd visit and stay at the Wentworth!! The first was on our honeymoon - 55 years ago! We love the way the house has been wonderfully improved since our first visit (with ensuite bathrooms now in place)! The food, the bedrooms, the support and encouragement are all First Class! We're very much looking forward to our next visit - and we don't think that we'll leave it quite so long between visits - next time!!😆

The Wentworth exceeded our expectation in every way, Amelia and Chris and their daughter Isla were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We had room 9 which has its own private entrance which was perfect for us as we are in and out all day due to our activities. The room was spotless and had everything you can lid need. The choice for breakfast was fantastic for a B&B, we even had smoked salmon one morning. All in all we couldn’t recommend it enough and have already booked for next year.

Chris and Amelia were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is well furnished and the room was large and comfortable, with a good en-suite bathroom. The location is great - five minutes to the beachfront with food and drink options nearby. There were plenty of breakfast options and communal space to use during the day.

What a lovely guesthouse. Amelia and Chris are the best hosts. The room was clean and comfortable with a Seaview. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and there is a lovely park opposite the guesthouse with plenty of activities for children and a lovely bar/ restaurant. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Wentworth for three days. Chris and Amelia were very welcoming and excellent hosts.Wentworth is immaculately clean and our room (fairy cove) was no exception. A beautifully decorated room with a very comfy bed and a generous amount of Tea, Coffee etc to keep you going. Breakfast!! Well that was yummy and generous amounts too with lots of choices.cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, both Chris and Amelia very attentive to your needs, nothing was too much trouble.The location is wonderful, just a few steps to Goodrington Sands and Youngs Park, with a lovely walk into Paignton along the Cliff Walk taking in the beautiful views. We couldn’t recommend The Wentworth Guesthouse enough.Very easy and straightforward booking system where you are able to choose your own room for your stay based on your own specific needs.The room we stayed in, Tree Tops, was immaculate with every facility you would need and the stunning view of the sea and park topped it off. The location of the B&B was in the perfect spot for being able to explore the area easily, either on foot, by car or with a trip on the steam trainAmelia and Chris were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to be back at Wentworth Guest House this June. A lovely welcome and, as previously, good breakfast and beautifully clean and redecorated rooms. The location is excellent giving direct access to Youngs Park and the beach but within walking distance of the shops and the railway station.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Wentworth guest house. I was travelling with my dog and this was accommodated perfectly. The room was very clean and the host was helpful and nice. I would definitely book and stay here again.

I received a very friendly welcome and Amelia is really, really nice. The room was wonderful and comfortable. The English breakfast was a delight and I was able to start the day full and satisfied.

The Goodrington room was lovely. The beds were so comfortable and we had a lovely view of the sea. The food was lovely and Amelia always welcomed us with a smile, while Chris was busy in the kitchen.Although they have only been running the guest house for just over two years, both Amelia and Chris were knowledgeable of the area and you could see that they totally enjoy what they do.The only thing that would have made our stay slightly better would have been to have had fresh milk available for the tea and coffee facilities in our room.I would highly recommend this guest house and I hope to stay there again

We have stayed at the Wentworth Guest House again this is our 3rd time now and we will be back!Amelia and Chris make you feel very welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Our room was fantastic, very clean with en-suite including a bath. The breakfast is also very good lots of choice.You are near to the beach just need to walk through Youngs Park. You are a 12-16 minute walk to town but you are best to walk down the path by the Railway line to avoid the hill.This is a beautiful place to stay.

Excellent base for walking the SW coast path.7 min walk to Dartmouth road for buses to Kingswear & Brixham.15 mins walk to Paignton railway station for trains to Torquay, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Dawlish Warren & Starcross.Amelia and Chris were very welcoming hosts. Chris cooked an excellent English breakfast, just what you need to set you up for a day’s walking..Cantina and Inn on Green nearby for food in the evening..

I had the most lovely time last September that I have just returned from another visit. The Guesthouse is lovely, a home from home. The breakfasts are to die for. It was great to be back at the 'Wentworth Guest House.'THE HOSTS: AMELIA AND CHRIS ARE MOST WELCOMING AND CAN'T DO ENOUGH TO MAKE YOUR STAY A FANTASTIC ONE. The house is in an an excellent position... 2 minutes from the beach through a quiet park with a boating lake.The front rooms overlook the park and the sea can be seen from a few of the rooms.The rooms are nicely and recently decorated and all have a TV, heating that is controlled by the guests 24/7, comfortable beds, wardrobes, en-suite and coffee and tea making. Towels can be changed if asked for and rooms are cleaned at guests request.The breakfast is plentiful with a choice for main (full English, salmon and soft cream cheese bagels) cereal, fruit juices, yogurts, fruit and toast.The house is within 15 minutes walk of Paignton town as well as the rail and bus stations. The transport links are good.The two Goodrington beaches, (one for dogs and the other one for no dogs in the summer months) are sandy and safe for bathing, especially for children. There are beach huts to hire. Quay West Water Park is great fun with its' numerous slides and flumes, plusthere is a place to hire paddle boards and wet suits.There are a few mediocre restaurants to eat in Goodrington and a several in Paignton.The weather is generally good as Torbay has a micro-climate.

They can't do enough for you.Breakfast was 5* and the bacon and sausages are top quality and cooked to perfection.The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and furnished. Perfect fit for a sea side home from home. They are really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are more than happy to make recommendations.The guesthouse is situated in a great place. A 10/15 minute walk from Paignton centre and a few hundred yards from the beach and a boating lake.We had a wonderful time, despite the rainy weather.You can tell that Amelia and Chris love their life here and it's lovely to see such happy hosts.We will definitely be back.

I love the location on the most scenic and peaceful side of town, where the only disturbance is the chuffing of the steam train as it passes close by every half hour or so during the day. There are two pleasant walking routes into the town, one via the historic Harbour (with its excellent choice of restaurants); the other along the railway track, almost direct to the train and bus stations. The wonderful Goodridge Sands is just across the serene Youngs Park, actually within view from the front of the guesthouse. Late booking but great customer service from first phone call to when we leftAmelia and Chris were great hosts.Both rooms were very clean and had great amenities special mention to hreakfasts on both days they were excellentNice touch of names to show which table were ours and the special treat of an Easter egg each on Easter Sunday Morning and slso in sorting out of travel to bus station.Very enjoyable stay and will recommend and hopefully stay again in the future

We had a really great stay with Amelia and Chris at the Wentworth Guesthouse truly a Home by the Sea. Our room was first class, wonderful shower and plenty hot water, breakfast was really enjoyable and plenty of it. Will stay there again.Best wishes and Thank you Eileen and Tom

I was in the single room, although it was small the space was used very well which meant it was very cosy and comfortable.The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well.Had a very warm welcome from the hosts and really enjoyed staying with them. I will be back! Highly recommend!

What a beautiful guest house. Very welcoming to both of us and the dog.Room was clean, tidy and warm. Outside parking and our own personal entrance.Right on the sea front too. Beautiful breakfast cooked by Chris and amazing host Amelia.Thank you and we will be back!!!

We stayed at the wentworth b+b in Paignton Devon from the 24th to the 27th June 2022,the location is fantastic 5 minutes from beach/sea,1 minute from park.The host's Amelia and Chris were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble the accommodation was excellent,good parking facilities.The breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and had facilities to make tea coffee which was provided on our arrival.Would recommended this establishment too everyone.Thanks for a wonderful say Peter and Ros CRAMER

Our family stayed here in 4 rooms over the Spring Bank/Jubilee week and we had the most brilliant holiday! We have family who live in Paignton so it was a fantastic base for us, as most things are within easy walking distance. Parking outside on the road, we always got a space despite it being school holidays.The rooms are well equipped, spotless and very welcoming with thoughtful touches everywhere. Made to feel so welcome - we were able to eat a Chinese takeaway (which we had delivered) in the dining room - sorry again for smelling the place out!!BREAKFAST!! We all agreed best breakfast we've had anywhere - a lot of choice and the quality is superb, really missing these now back home....Thank you Amelia and Chris - we will be back soon

We stayed at the Wentworth Guest House for 8 days, it is a fabulous place to stay, the hosts Amelia & Chris are exceptionally welcoming our room was very spacious with an en-suite, Chris’ breakfast are fantastic! Across the road there is a beautiful park and 5 minutes from there you are at the beach.It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into the town where you’ll find shops, bars, train and bus station.We thoroughly recommend the steam train trip to Kingswear and the ferry boat over to Dartmouth. We also went to Brixham which is beautiful, Torquay is fabulous especially sitting near the harbour. Loads of bars and eateries.
